Our Mission

Make That Change is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has started in Swansboro, NC. Our mission is to unite communities to spread kindness. With a focus on building community-wide bullying prevention strategy by showing children that the adults within their community will respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior/violence in schools; sending a message that it is not acceptable. Research shows that by doing this, bullying behavior/violence in schools can be stopped over time. We aim to create an environment where children can talk about bullying, help build a safe school environment by the development of after school activities that will focus on strategies to prevent bullying behaviors, and host community-wide events that send a message that kindness matters. Although this will take time and funding, we are confident our goal can be achieved with the support of the community.
